StreamScope — Privacy Policy

Last updated: 14 August 2026

StreamScope is a local-network broadcast monitoring and production tool published by BOT-HOLDINGS, LLC. This policy covers the StreamScope apps for Android and iOS.

What we collect

Nothing. StreamScope has no accounts, no sign-in, no analytics, no advertising, and no crash-reporting service. We operate no servers that receive your data, and we cannot see how you use the app.

What stays on your device

Settings, saved layouts, presets, recordings and screenshots are stored on your device. Recordings and screenshots are written to the app's own folder — on iOS, Files → On My iPhone → StreamScope; on Android, Movies/StreamScope and Pictures/StreamScope. Deleting the app deletes its settings.

What leaves your device

Video, audio and control traffic go only where you point them: NDI, SMPTE, RTSP, RTMP, SRT, OSC, MIDI and Art-Net endpoints on your own network, and a StreamScope Studio server you choose to pair with. When you pair with Studio, the app sends the device name and app version to that server so it can show which device is connected. That server is yours; we never see it.

Third-party components

The Android version includes Google's Cast SDK so the app can output to Chromecast. Google's Cast SDK automatically reports Cast discovery and session events, along with device and Cast app information, to Google. That collection is Google's, is encrypted in transit, and cannot be disabled or deleted by us or by you. See Google's privacy policy. The iOS version contains no Cast SDK and no equivalent component.

Permissions

None of this media is transmitted anywhere except to the destinations you configure.

Children

StreamScope is a professional broadcast tool and is not directed at children.
